« My first two weeks in Utrecht have been really interesting. The first week I remember now that I was really nervous and excited all the time, new friends, new city, new life.
- The English Lessons at home, it was a really good idea because this way we didn´t waste time going somewhere else and our free time we used it just to do a lot of tourism.
I liked the bussines communication program because it was dynamic and we learned important things about communication at work, at the same time, maybe I missed some more conversation in English between us because the assigments were fast at some points. But the conclussion is that it is really going to be very useful for my future and I am happy with it. »
(Paloma Botas, architect)
«The English course have had that I easily remember my English skills because I haven´t learn English since three years ago and in that time I have lost a lot of skills, that I hope getting back and improving in these three months.
In my opinion, the subject of the English course, Business Communication, was very interesting and although I have already learned about this topic in my Degree and in my Master, it was a good reminder... and in English the topic is more interesting!! ;-) It was nice and easily comprehensible. »
(Ana Belen Otero Paradela, universitary degree in tourism)
“The course was a very interesting experience, I learned to use different tools to work that will be useful in my future work. I reviewed my English, I learned new vocabulary and I improved generally.â€
(Iria Flavia Alonso Fernández, universitary degree in tourism)
“It was different from what I have been expecting before coming but I like it.
People I know who are right now in other countries with the same program, are studying the language through conversations about any topic and also studying some grammar. I suppose here is different because we were warned in advance to know English to come to Holland.
Anyway, I think that our personal English course will be useful for our futures jobs, not only here in The Netherlands but also in Spain. We have learnt formal things about giving a speech or writing letters; that could be interesting for other experiences in our lifetime.
I liked also the way of teaching us sitting together in a table in the dining room because that makes the classes closer.â€
(MarÃa GarcÃa Pose, universitary degree in tourism)

Speeches:
Tongue twisters:
"Betty Botter bought some butter but she said the butter's bitter. If I put it in my batter it will make my batter bitter. So, she bought some better butter, better than the bitter butter and she put it in her batter and her batter was not bitter. So 'twas good that Betty Botter bought some better butter."
"Pretty Kitty Creighton had a cotton batten cat.
The cotton batten cat was bitten by a rat.
The kitten that was bitten had a button for an eye,
And biting off the button made the cotton batten fly."
"I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought.
If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much."
"How many cookies could a good cook cook. If a good cook could cook cookies? A good cook could cook as much cookies as a good cook who could cook cookies".
"As I was in Arkansas I saw a saw that could out saw any saw I ever saw saw. If you happen to be in Arkansas and see a saw that can out saw the saw I saw saw I'd like to see the saw you saw saw".
